That's why you're an English major, Hailie.

After my last class (which ends at 12:25 PM) today, I decided to go to Barnes and Noble. Keep in mind that it's around lunch time and the only thing I've consumed at this point is a bottle of Coke Zero and a piece of gum. I've been up since 7 AM. Somehow, I managed to spend an HOUR in there. I only looked for my book for about five minutes. Then I just sat down and read. For those of you who know me well, you know that my relationship with food is very strong. I love food. There's not much that can keep me away from food. All I could think about beginning in my American History class at 8 AM until I got our of class four and a half hours later was what delicious morsels I would be eating.

Well apparently my love for reading is outweighs my love of food. This is news even to me.

The reason I was drawn into my heaven, AKA b&n, was to buy To Kill a Mockingbird. I haven't read this book since eighth grade and we are studying racial inequality in my history class. Yesterday I was taking a lovely bubble bath and I realized that I did not have any books around that I wanted to read. Plenty that I need to be reading...don't get me wrong. But none that jumped out and said, "READ ME NOW." So I went to go get one.

I purchased that book at 1:30 PM today. Currently I am halfway through it. And I have a mid-term tomorrow. Good job, Hailie.

Oh, and I did finally eat. For those of you who worry about my well-being. Thank you for the concern.

I feel like perhaps I should study now.
